Henry Arthur Scheideman
Henry Arthur Scheideman was born on May 17, 1877 in Norka, the son of Jacob Scheideman (1852-1915) and Louise Wacker (1853-1915).
Henry, along with his parents and siblings, departed from Norka in late 1880 and immigrated to the United States in the spring of 1881.
The family initially settled near Hays, Kansas. They later moved to Denver and Breckenridge, Colorado.

Henry married Selma Victoria Rose in Nebraska on June 10, 1902.
Henry studied engineering for three years. Using his knowledge and experience he invented and patented a glass mitering machine in 1929. The same concepts are used to this day.
In 1938, Henry wrote a record and history of his Scheideman family documenting facts about Norka and many of his relatives. He died on July 17, 1942 in Denver. Click on the link above or the image below to read his story.
