Traditions
Traditions and customs can be anything many people have done for a long time. Usually, the people come from the same country, culture, time, or religion.
The traditions celebrated by the people of Norka had, in many cases, their origins in the pre-Christian beliefs of the Germanic people. Those beliefs were later adapted and modified by Christian beliefs. The Christian beliefs were changed and adapted as the Protestant Reformation swept Europe in the 1500s. The colonists carried these beliefs and the traditions they inspired to Russia in 1766, where they were shaped by their new environment and Russian neighbors.
