Johann Heinrich and Anna Maria Weber
The parish records of Hitzkirchen report that Johann Heinrich Weber (son of Johann Heinrich Weber from Wenings) and Anna Maria Reifschneider were married in Kefenrod on May 2, 1759. Two children were born in Kefenrod: Johann Ludwig, baptized November 27, 1760 and Johannes, baptized July 21, 1764.
In 1766, Johann Heinrich and Anna Maria decided to accept the offer described in Catherine's Manifesto and migrate to Russia.
The family sailed with other colonists from the north German port of Lübeck aboard a Lübeck ship under the command of Johann Schkott. The ship arrived in Oranienbaum, Russia on August 29, 1766.
After a year's journey to their new homeland, Johann Heinrich, Anna Maria, and their two children were among the founders who arrived in Norka on August 15, 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 Census as Household No. 26. Also living in the household is the orphan, Johannes Reifschneider, who is likely related to Anna Maria Weber (née Reifschneider).
Still to be determined is how the two other Weber settlers in Norka documented to have come from Wenings (Anna Maria Weber, wife of Hans Otto Müller, and Johannette Catharina Weber, wife of Johannes Eberling) are related to Johann Heinrich Weber.
