Johannes and Anna Elisabeth Hartung
Johannes Hartung (son of the late Johann Heinrich Hartung from Ronneburg) and Anna Margaretha Reifschneider (daughter of Nicolaus Reifschneider of Gettenbach) married in Gettenbach on 2 Nov 1748. The baptisms of four children are recorded in Gettenbach: Elisabetha, born 15 March, baptized 19 March 1749, and confirmed in 1765; Johann Christophel, born 19 June and baptized 22 Jun 1751; Lorentz, born 9 May and baptized 12 May 1754; and Anna Margaretha, born 19 September, baptized 25 September 1757, died 27 November 1758. Johannes's wife Anna Margareatha died on 16 March 1759. Johannes then married Anna Elisabetha Kehm (daughter of Johann Georg Kehm) on 10 July 1760. Johannes and Anna Elisabetha had one child, Johann Melchior, born 9 September and baptized 12 September 1762. Johannes, Anna Elisabetha, and the three older children arrived in Russia on 8 Aug 1766. The family settled in Norka and are reported on the Norka First Settler's List in Family #79. The 1798 Census of Frank reports Lorenz Hartung from Norka was living in Frank Household #3, and the 1798 Census of Kolb reports Christoph Hartung from Norka was living in Kolb Household #32.
