Külthau
Nicolaus Külthau was born in Weichersbach and baptized on 18 December 1739. His parents were Johann Heinrich Külthau and Anna Margaretha Meinhard.
Catharina Elisabeth Külthau was born in Oberzell and baptized on 1 May 1740. Her brother Just Külthau was also born in Oberzell and was baptized on 16 August 1743. Their parents were Johannes Külthau and Barbara Dorn. Elisabeth Külthau married Johannes Hölzer in Oberzell on 9 February 1764.
Nicolaus Külthau and his wife Catharina Kratzenberger traveled to Russia aboard the Russian sailing ship "Slon" (Elephant) and arrived in Oranienbaum, Russia (now Lomonosov) on 19 July 1766 along with Catharina's sister, Anna Maria. The Hölzer brothers from Oberzell arrived on the same ship.
Just Külthau and his wife Magdalena, and Johannes Hölzer and Elisabeth Külthau traveled to Russia aboard the ship "Strelna" and arrived in Oranienbaum on 28 July 1766. Melchior Ochs, who also came from Oberzell, arrived on the same ship.
Both Külthau men settled in Norka. Just Külthau and his wife are reported on the Norka First Settlers List in Household #127. Nicolaus Külthau and his wife are reported in Household #141.
