Reuben Alexander Bauer
Reuben Alexander Bauer is an enterprising man with many talents and interests closely connected to historical genealogical and biological research in various cultures. He is the second youngest of eight children born into a German-Russian immigrant family that migrated to Canada over a century ago from Norka, Russia. He grew up on a farm in the Canadian prairie Province of Alberta with a keen interest in history, photography, stamp and coin collecting, and becoming an avid monarchist. At the early age of twelve years, Reuben began to write a genealogical and non-fiction historical account of his German-Russian roots. With encouragement from his parents, Alexander and Elizabeth (Hohnstein) Bauer, he developed this research into a full-length book that included his family and the lives of many of his fellow German-Russian immigrant families. The popularity of this investigated history reached incredible interest, as the book was released in 1965. Since that date, more than 10,000 copies have been sold, and the book, "One of Many," has become a Canadian Bestseller and will soon be re-released on the market. He has several other titles to his credit and more to come.
Reuben is a school teacher by profession with numerous business interests developed over time. Besides being an author, writer, printer, and publisher, he is a well-respected business leader, financial architect, and public speaker. His diverse interests, talents, and vast knowledge have placed him in a leading role as president and CEO of a charitable foundation of international renown. He is also the holder of many honors and awards.
As a historian and researcher of family histories, Reuben discovered his maternal "royal connections." First, he is a 5th-degree cousin to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and, secondly, a 4th-degree cousin to her husband, HRH Prince Philip.
Currently, his writing includes reaching new heights as he expects to produce several new titles, one of which is an incredible account of the life and times of Pastor Wilhelm Staerkel and numerous other noted biographies, histories, and chronicles.
