Reuben Bauer is a descendant of Norka immigrants that settled in Stony Plain, Alberta, Canada in 1912. The Bauer line from Norka descend from Johann George Bauer who arrived in Russia from Darmstadt, Germany.
Reuben is the author of One of Many. This book provides interesting historical facts about the colony of Norka and brief histories of early settlers in the Stony Plain area of Alberta. Many of these families were from Norka.
In addition to his interest in Volga German history, Reuben says he has the largest collection of royal memorabilia in the country.
