Adam A. Walter
Adam was born May 2, 1931, in Lingle, Wyoming the son of John Walter and Elizabeth Burback. He grew up and received his education in Lingle, graduating there in 1949. His senior year, he was noted unanimous All-State in basketball. Adam attended one year at the University of Wyoming, where he played basketball. He then attended one year at Elmhurst Theological College in Chicago, Ill., where again he played basketball.
Adam wrote a book titled Wyoming Sheepherder Poetry under the alias Obediah Brown in 1991.
Adam's brother, Wilbert G. Walter, is also one of the Notable Norkans.
