Adam A. Walter
Adam was born May 2, 1931, in Lingle, Wyoming, the son of John Walter and Elizabeth Burback. He grew up and received his education in Lingle, graduating there in 1949. In his senior year, he was a unanimous All-State in basketball. Adam attended the University of Wyoming for one year, where he played basketball. He then attended Elmhurst Theological College in Chicago, Illinois, for one year, where he also played basketball.
Adam wrote a book titled Wyoming Sheepherder Poetry under the alias Obediah Brown in 1991.
Adam's brother, Wilbert G. Walter, is also one of the Notable Norkans.
