Bäcker Family
Anton Bäcker (Becker, Backer) is described as a widower from Ronshausen when he marries Maria Catharina Peuscher on May 11, 1766 in Büdingen. His first wife, Anna Barbara, died in Ronshausen on July 4, 1761. Anton was born in Ronshausen on November 3, 1705, the son of Georg Backer. He and Anna Barbara, the daughter of Georg Bachman, were married on August 15, 1728. Among Anton’s children was Johann Georg Backer, born in 1729. Johann Georg Becker married Elisabetha Wingold, the daughter of Caspar Georg Wingold, on April 19, 1751. Two of Johann Georg and Elisabetha’s children also traveled to Russia, Johannes, born May 11, 1752, and Elisabeth, born November 24, 1761. All six family members settled in Norka.
