Hank G. Walker
Henry (Hank) G. Walker was the son of Heinrich and Molly Walker (Wacker) from Norka. Hank was born October 1, 1921, in Vegreville, Canada.
Hank was a very famous photographer for LIFE Magazine from 1948 to 1963. Mr. Walker started at LIFE Magazine in 1948 as a contract photographer and joined the staff three years later. In 1951, he was assigned to Washington as a White House photographer. One of his most famous photographs shows the silhouetted figures of John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert as they conferred in a hotel room on the eve of the 1960 Democratic convention. Hank is credited with over a dozen cover photos for LIFE Magazine in the 1950s and 60s.
Hank Walker died October 13, 1996, in Miami, Florida.
